Summer Internship
What does it mean to be a Summer Intern with Flourishing Grace Church?
One of our goals at Flourishing Grace is to train and equip young leaders as they discern God’s call in their life, particularly in the area of ministry in a local church. In this Internship, you will learn the basics of what it means to care for and minister to people. This Internship focuses on training people through our student ministry, kids ministry, and our music and production teams that lead worship on Sundays. Internships can focus on one of those areas or any combination of the three. You will learn how to lead leaders, create and plan events and shepherd people in a way that leads them toward Jesus. The internship is a mix of practical experience as well as learning through books, videos, and discussions around ministry topics all through the summer.
Flourishing Grace Church is in Bountiful, Utah, and past interns have come from out of state and been from our local area as well. If you come from out of state for the summer, we will house you in a host home with a family from Flourishing Grace. The Internship includes part-time ministry employment at Flourishing Grace for the summer, as well as learning and formation activities to help you grow as a leader and as a follower of Jesus.
Who should apply for our Summer Internship?
If you are someone who feels a call to make disciples, love people and lead them towards Jesus then we want to help you learn how to do that through this Internship. Every year we try to customize the internship for the Interns. That means that if you feel led towards learning about certain aspects of ministry, we want to train you, equip you and allow God to grow you in those areas this Summer. You don’t have to be looking at full time vocational ministry to be a part of this internship. Ultimately this Internship is for people who want to grow in their understanding of what it looks like to be a disciple of Jesus and make disciples all around them.
Applications are due no later than March 31st, but apply soon; internship slots may fill up before then.
