Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a season Christians set aside for fasting, prayer, and reflection as we prepare to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
Every year on Ash Wednesday, we create space to pray, helping us remember who we are, remember who God is, and allow Jesus to identify what has captured our hearts so that we might humbly repent and return to Him.
This is not a moment meant to guilt or shame us. We remember that Christ died for us while we were still sinners, and that godly grief does not push us away from God, but draws us back to Him. Lent is not about proving our devotion or striving for spiritual perfection. It is about making room for the Holy Spirit to realign our loves and lead us back to what truly gives life.
This is a season to walk forward in hope, reminding us that the One who meets us in the dust is the same One who leads us into new life.
Prayer Room Details:
Time: 6am - 6pm
What Can I Expect?
Our sanctuary will be set up with four different prayer stations, each anchored in Scripture and guided by simple prayer prompts to help you move through the experience at your own pace. You can bring your own Bible or use one of ours.
How Long Will It Take?
Most people plan to set aside about one hour to walk through all four stations in an unhurried and reflective way. If you've only have 30 minutes or you want to spend two hours, that's completely fine. We're encouraged you're taking the time to pray.
Are Kids Allowed To Participate?
Yes, we will have a kids prayer station for children 5 and up, with interactive prayer prompts they can participate in while you move thru the stations.
